Broadway Christian Church is known as a compassionate ministry in downtown Lexington and offers assistance in the following ministries:

God's PantryGod's Pantry: The God’s Pantry outlet at Broadway is open each night, Monday through Friday from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Staffed by Broadway Christian volunteers, the Pantry distributes food and offers a valuable service to our community. Furniture & Clothing Donations: Broadway Christian Church’s Benevolence Ministry accepts donations of furniture, household items, and clothing and places them (free of charge) into homes of local families in need. Please contact the Church Office if you are in need yourself or to find out how your furniture can make a difference in the lives of others or how to volunteer for this ministry.

Christian Benevolent Outreach
Christian Benevolent Outreach, Inc. (CBO) is the parent organization of Sayre Christian Village and is sponsored by the non-denominational fellowship of Christian Churches and Churches of Christ in Kentucky.  CBO, Inc. began its ministry in 1975 with a gift of land from Miss Appolonia Sayre  (Archive photo at left).  Sayre Christian Village became a reality with the opening of Baunta Building in 1983.  In 1984 Moberly Manor was added and in 1987, Friendship Towers completed the “Village” as it is today.
